What difference can one meeting make?
The City Parks Foundation in New York City is one of the largest arts presenters in the nation. Each year, CPF presents hundreds of concerts, programs and other public events in parks across the five boroughs – from Central Park in Manhattan to small neighborhood parks in Queens and the Bronx. After some years of less-than-seamless operation and a leadership transition, CPF asked Helicon to plan and facilitate a day-long planning retreat that would prepare senior staff for the 2009 season. The retreat produced a set of unifying program and management goals for the summer and a refreshed esprit de corps. CPF had one of its best seasons ever – great attendance, rave reviews from the public and fewer internal glitches than any previous summer.
